Snapshot Override
What it is
This is a direct application of the Shadow concept. When you’re entering a high-stakes social situation (like a party or meeting), you often compare yourself to a mental “Snapshot” of who you should be.
This creates performance anxiety and insecurity.
What to do
- Instead of trying to be perfect, mentally bring your Shadow in with you.
- Picture them walking beside you.
- Let them speak through you — awkwardness and all.
By doing this, you reclaim your power from fantasy and ground yourself in authenticity.
