Welcome to Homie, a shared family organizer operated by Loop Ventures. These Terms govern your use of the Homie app and website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.


1. Who We Are

Homie is operated by Loop Ventures.

Loop Ventures is the legal entity responsible for subscriptions, billing, and customer support.


2. Service Description

Homie is a shared group workspace for routines, tasks, notes, and calendar items. Homie works like a collaborative household whiteboard. Everyone in a group has identical permissions.

Homie does not provide parental controls or admin roles.


3. Account Structure

A Homie group is a shared space:

  • Any member can create, edit, or delete sub-users
  • Any member can modify or remove tasks, routines, and calendar events
  • All members have full access to the shared board

For legal purposes, the person who signs up with their email and payment details is the subscription owner, but inside the app they do not have elevated privileges.

Groups may also share selected content outside the group — for example, through calendar ICS feeds or shared recipe, event, or list links — and may request temporary access for the Homie support team to help with an issue. Both are described in our Privacy Policy.


4. Eligibility

The subscription owner must be 18 years or older.

Sub-users can be any age, including minors.

By adding a sub-user to your group, you confirm that you have the authority to do so on their behalf — including for any minors in your household. Homie processes sub-users' data under our contract with you, not under the sub-user's own consent.


5. Pricing and Billing

Homie uses simple, fair pricing with a generous free trial.

5.1 Price

Pricing depends on how you subscribe:

  • Web (Stripe): $1.50 per active user per month, billed monthly
  • iOS (Apple) and Android (Google): fixed monthly tiers based on group size — Solos & Duos, Small Family, Family, and Large Family — starting at approximately $3 per month for Solos & Duos. Exact prices shown in the app at checkout and may vary by country.

5.2 Free trial

You can use Homie for free for at least 90 days. After that, the free trial continues until your group has created 50 items (events, tasks, routines, meals, etc.).

5.3 Deciding to continue

After your first 90 days and 50 items, you decide if you want to continue. Add payment details to keep using the service, or stop using it at no cost.

5.4 Full refund guarantee

If you are not satisfied with Homie at any point during your first 6 months, you may request a 100 percent refund of all fees paid during that time.

Refund requests must be made from the subscription owner's email to support@homiehub.co.

5.5 Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

All Homie subscriptions are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions. They renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

Web (Stripe): your payment method is charged at the start of each monthly period. Cancel any time from within the Homie app; access continues until the end of the paid period.

iOS (Apple): payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Android (Google): payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription auto-renews each period until cancelled, in accordance with Google Play's subscription terms.

5.6 Managing Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from within the Homie app: Settings → Account → Subscription. From there, Homie takes you to the right place for your platform:

  • Web (Stripe): Stripe's billing portal, where you can update payment, change plan, or cancel
  • iOS (Apple): your device's subscription settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Homie)
  • Android (Google): Google Play's subscription settings (Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Homie)

5.7 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until your subscription expires. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except as described in Section 5.4.


6. User Responsibilities

Because all members have full permissions, you acknowledge:

  • Any user can delete content or other users
  • Deleted content cannot always be recovered
  • Homie does not intervene in group disputes
  • You are responsible for managing access on your devices

7. ICS Calendar Links

ICS links may be accessible to anyone who receives them.

Loop Ventures is not responsible for data visibility resulting from shared or leaked links.


8. Intellectual Property

Homie's design, code, and branding belong to Loop Ventures.

You retain ownership of all content you create. You grant us permission to store and process it solely for operating the service.


9. Availability and Changes

Homie may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues. Features may be added, modified, or removed.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Homie is provided as-is
  • Loop Ventures is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
  • Total liability is limited to the lesser of:
    • Amount paid in the previous 12 months, or
    • NOK equivalent of USD 500

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law.

Disputes shall be handled by Oslo tingrett unless otherwise required by consumer law.


12. Data Requests

You can request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection in relation to your personal data by emailing support@homiehub.co.

We respond within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.


13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
