1. Who We Are
Homie is provided by Loop Ventures.

2. Data We Collect
Before signup
We collect no personal information.
Our website uses Plausible Analytics in cookieless mode.
After signup
We collect:
- Subscription owner's email
- Password (securely hashed)
- Group data (names or nicknames of sub-users)
- Tasks, routines, and calendar items
- Usage events
- Device info used for security (IP location region, OS, browser)
Payment
Stripe processes payments on our behalf.
We do not store credit card numbers.
3. Shared Group Access
All members have identical permissions.
Any member may edit or delete content or sub-users.
Homie does not verify the identity of sub-users.
4. How We Use Data
We use data to:
- Operate and improve the app
- Sync data between devices
- Determine when billing starts based on item count
- Provide support
- Maintain security
We do not sell personal data.
We do not use ad tracking.
We do not use cookies except required technical cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
5. Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract (providing the service)
- Legitimate interest (security and analytics)
- Legal obligation (billing and accounting)
- Consent (newsletter if you opt in)
6. Item Counting for Billing
We count the number of items (events, tasks, routines, meals, etc.) created by your group to help determine when your free trial ends. The free trial lasts for at least 30 days, then continues until 50 items have been created.
This count includes all items ever created, including deleted items.
Stripe receives only total invoice amounts, not detailed usage data.
7. Sharing with Service Providers
We share minimal data with:
- Stripe (payments)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Supabase (database)
- Resend (transactional emails)
Each acts under a data processing agreement.
8. International Transfers
If data is transferred outside the EEA, standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards are used.
9. Retention
- Account data: until deletion
- Billing data: kept as required by law
- Events: may be anonymized over time
- Backups: used for operational continuity
- Deleted items: retained for 30 days after deletion, then permanently removed. During this period, our support team can assist with recovery if needed.

11. Policy Changes
