Why do families

LOVE HOMIE

The calendar, tasks, meals and shopping are the easy part. These are the reasons families stay.

  • Get everyone onboard in minutes. One login for the whole family. No invites to chase, no accounts to set up for the kids.

  • It replaces several apps. Calendar, to-do lists, habit tracker, weather, packing lists, recipes and the shopping list, all in one place.

  • Scandinavian design, where everything earns its place. No noise, no AI, no ads, no feed fighting for your attention.

  • Change of plans = the rule, not the exception. Works offline, skip or move anything in a tap, and leave a comment or a reaction when it does.

  • Share with people who don't have Homie. Public links to a shopping list, an event or a recipe.

  • Sharing a link to your weekend trip packing list with everyone who's joining, and seeing new items appear in Homie, that's when it feels like magic.
  • Homie is simple enough for kids and grandparents to manage, while satisfying the needs of productivity nerds.

  • Bring your old calendars in seconds. Replace the old calendar with an import to Homie, or subscribe to your work calendar and activity schedules.

What families

ACTUALLY SAY

1 of 6

No more Google Calendars for me! I love having my calendar and reminders together, and was able to replace a recipe app I had been using as well.

Calendar consolidator

Finally a planner that actually works! Homie is our family organizer that helps us keep track of who, what, where and when, including all activities, shopping lists, recipes and meal planning. The best part is delegating tasks, so no one can say they "forgot".

Delegation convert

This app is actually all I was missing. I can select recipes on my laptop and paste in the instructions. When I cook, there is an option to leave the screen on, which is perfect. The communication between the browser and the phone app is swift. Great for travel. Very happy!

The Travelling Chef

This app's design is beautiful. I have been searching for something like this, but couldn't find it. Everything was too colorful, too packed with ads, too heavy. The website with all the information is great. Simple design, a lot of options, and the possibility to customize the view and hide unnecessary options. Really great job, thank you!

Design-led switcher

A brilliant way for a rather forgetful 80-year-old to keep track of the days.

Grandparent's helper

As someone with ADHD, I've found this app INCREDIBLY useful.

Let your kids

TAKE CONTROL

It's nearly impossible to keep everyone in the family on track, and at some point you realise the kids need to start doing it themselves.

We need our kids to learn how to manage their OWN lives without a parent notification system.
Teaching Kids Responsibility (Without Constant Reminding)

Full of features, still

SIMPLE TO USE

Simple enough for the kids and grandparents. Powerful enough for the structure geeks. We kept what we loved from other calendars and to-do lists, and improved the rest.

The story behind

HOMIE

Born in Norway into a modern family in need of a better way to organize and succeed together:

Portrait of Julia, daughter

Julia (11) struggled to remember her gym bag, tennis gear, ... Nour (mum) acting as a human reminder was a sub par solution for both. She now has the tool she needs to learn how to self-organize! She is also using the Mudita Kompakt e-paper phone and a display on the front door.

PS: She's obsessed with Jinx from Arcane, hence the halloween blue hair.

PS: The story was written in 2025. Birthdays have passed. We’re keeping the original story and ages.

Nour (mum) was struggling to help Julia (11) succeed without micro-managing her.

Øyvind (dad) wanted to help and started imagining a family display on the door with routine checklists.

The first week was an intense design sprint and early prototypes. The second week resulted in an early prototype on an e-paper display on the door.

The same calendar week side by side on an iPhone and on a Mudita Kompakt e-paper phone.

From there we have worked as a family to improve Homie every day to become our dream version of a simple family organizer. And now Homie works on everything from the simplest calm tech e-paper phone, to the most advanced smartphones, tablets and wall displays.
